"The Privilege", Sri Lanka's very first all suite beach hotel is now nearing completion and will commence its operations soon.
Situated in Wadduwa on a golden sandy beach, the property has 25 super Luxury suites, which include a presidential suite, king suite and queen suite. The Ceylon Tourist Board has identified the great potential for up market tourism, which is at its maximum at "The Privilege" complex itself and will undoubtedly contribute towards this long felt need.
The close proximity to Colombo too makes the resort an obvious choice of holiday makers. All suites are spacious and have 5 units - sleeping, living, courtyard, pavilion and the bathroom. Sleeping and living areas consist of a king size bed recessed into a low platform leaving ledges along the bedside. On one side is an opening to a courtyard from where one could get a panoramic view of the surrounding beauty of the Indian Ocean.
The living area, which also functions as a TV lobby is to contain low seating with colourful silk cushions. The features in suites include hot and cold water, two satellite channel TV's, VCD player, piped music, individual climate control, large toilet with Jacuzzi, mini bar, private safe, three telephones, fax/modem facility etc.
The hotel will also consist of two swimming pools (main pool and a kiddies pool), two restaurants (fine dinning and main restaurant), two bars, 24 hours room service, indoor games such as billiards, table tennis, mini golf, wind surfing, water, skiing and a health farm.
Luxury, elegance and high quality service are what one should expect at "The Privilege" which would be the most exclusive all suite hotel in the south west coast and in Sri Lanka, Marketing Manger, "The Privilege", Ranjaka de Mel said. In keeping with owner's philosophy, a veteran hotelier himself, the hotel will be Sri Lanka's first 'all suite' resort of International standard. -
