“The Privilege” opened its doors on the 27th of September 2001 coinciding with the “World Tourism Day” and has been in operation since being the chosen destination for authentic Ayurveda treatment and holiday for thousands of guest from all over the world and some prominent personalities in entertainment and politics both in Sri Lankan and Europe.
The hotel owned and managed by Asien Reisen Pvt Ltd, a company with focus in the Leisure industry. The company is fully owned by a carrier hotelier turned entrepreneur, Chairman Susil De Alwis F.H.C.I.M.A (UK). A veteran in hospitality with over 25 years of experience in international hotels and education in several prestigious universities including General Managers Programme at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. He was awarded a fellowship by the Hotel Catering Institute of Management, UK for the service rendered to the hospitality industry. Combined his vast experience and innovative thinking in setting up the unique property. His primary objective is to offer a very personalized consistent service to the valued guest whilst maintaining high standards.
Shamal De Alwis Director Business development a graduate from Curtin University Australia with bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is the driving force of taking The Privilege to greater heights over the years.
